I had the pleasure of taking Molly's senior portraits this past August and I loved taking them! Senior portraits are one of my many passions. I love how fun they can be and getting to know everyone. It's great to capture everyone's unique personalities. Senior portraits have definitely changed over the years. It's more like a mini fashion/model session! But I love it! Molly was so fun to work with and her mom came up with a brilliant idea of throwing corn dust instead of glitter! A small way to bring something unique to the table. An Iowa girl has to have some sort of corn in her photos right?! We started out in my studio located downtown and walked around the fabulous East Village. It's one of my favorite areas of the city to shoot around. Then we went to a small patch of wildflowers in Pleasant Hill, it's a spot I had been seeing for a couple of weeks and I'm glad I got to take Molly there. I love finding hidden gems like that, especially when it involves flowers! We ended at Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge to take pictures in the prairie. Iowa is such a beautiful place, especially in the summer. I love all that golden light! I love taking people out there who have never been. If you get lucky you might see some buffalo! Thank you so much for hanging out with me Molly! Congrats on your senior year, enjoy every minute!
